As we’ve entered the blessed month of Ramadan, we are reminded of Allah’s words:
“Whoever saves one life, it is as if he has saved all of mankind.” (Qur’an 5:32)
This sacred month is a time of mercy, compassion, and multiplied rewards. It is also a time when we are called to uplift those who suffer silently.
Across underserved communities, thousands of men, women, and children live in unnecessary darkness due to preventable and treatable blindness. A simple cataract surgery – often costing less than a family’s weekly groceries – can restore sight and dignity.

At Al-Shifa, we help retrieve the colors of life! “Yes I can see,” this was the spontaneous response of Mutalli, who was recently restored vision after a successful operation at Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital.
