Shaheer
Shaheer, a young boy from Swabi, has lived with low vision and night blindness since childhood due to Bardet-Biedl Syndrome. His family took him to many hospitals, hoping for improvement, but nothing seemed to work. Eventually, they came to the Low Vision Rehabilitation Centre (Lighthouse) at Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Rawalpindi.
Here, Shaheer was given low vision aids that helped him see better and manage his daily life more easily. For the first time, he could move around confidently and engage in everyday activities without constant help.
Thanks to the support he received, Shaheer’s life has become a little brighter — and he’s not alone. Every day, Al-Shifa Trust helps many others like him regain independence, confidence, and hope.
