Gift of Sight

Al-Shifa Foundation of North America (AFNA) is proud of supporting the eye care projects of Al-Shifa Trust eye hospitals in Pakistan which have treated over six million patients since the opening of its first hospital in 1991. In Financial Year 2020-21, Al-Shifa treated over 900,000 patients at the six state-of-the-art eye hospitals in Rawalpindi, Muzaffarabad, Chakwal, Kohat, Sukkur and at the over 150 Eye Camps. Additionally, over 73,000 surgeries (including laser surgeries and cataract removal) were performed.

AFNA donation of OrCam Device to Deserving Recipients

We ( AST/ AFNA) gifted another MyEye Orcam device to a 27-year old brilliant MPhil student Muhammad Talha Masood who lost his eyesight in a bomb explosion. Despite all the tragedy he faced, his motivation and faith didn’t stop him to excel in his field.

We establish OT setup by professional OT staff with advanced machineries and maintain the sanitization of equipments 24 hrs.

Free school screening eye camps organized in different schools of backward areas where they do not have access to any eye care clinic.
