Kashmala, a soul troubled by psychiatric issues, could not find a moment of peace as her eyesight also kept deteriorating and hindering her daily activities.

Having visited various hospitals across the country in search for treatment, there was no place that provided her with an appropriate diagnosis.

Ultimately, she was referred to Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Rawalpindi. Hoping to finally find a cure of her ailment, she visited the facility with hope in her eyes and anticipation in her heart.

Al-Shifa Trust being the house of Pakistan’s first Ophthalmic Genetics lab, conducted her genetic testing which confirmed the diagnosis of glaucoma. She has been undergoing treatment and has noticed a significant improvement in the management of the disease.
